IPTV EPG not working? Work through it in this order

Bring your own sources: MIRA Player provides no channels, movies or content. You connect sources you already have the right to use. MIRA does not ask for, and you should never send us, your provider password.

1. Is the guide empty for every channel, or only some?

Every channel empty usually means the guide source is not loading. Only some channels empty usually means those channels are not matched to guide entries.

2. Check your source type

Xtream Codes

Guide data normally comes from the same provider login. If channels load but the guide does not, signing out is not the first step. Note whether live channels play. If they play and the guide is blank, the provider's guide feed may be down or empty — wait and refresh later, and ask the provider whether EPG is included.

M3U playlist

An M3U file only includes a guide if it carries a guide (XMLTV) address or your provider gives you one separately. A playlist can work perfectly for channels and have no guide at all. Ask your provider for their XMLTV/EPG URL rather than guessing one.

3. Channel matching (XMLTV IDs)

Players match a channel to guide listings by an ID. If the playlist's channel ID does not match the guide's ID, you get channels with “no information.” Renaming a channel on screen does not always fix the ID match. If only renamed or grouped channels are blank, that is likely the cause.

4. Time looks wrong?

Check the device's date, time and timezone first (Settings on your TV/box). Guide times are shifted by timezone; a wrong device timezone makes a working guide look broken. Daylight-saving changes can also offset listings until the guide refreshes.

5. Refresh, then wait

Refresh/reload your source once, then give a large guide time to download. Repeated force-closing mid-download restarts it. On a slow connection, try wired or closer Wi-Fi once to rule out a truncated download.

When it is not your setup

If multiple players show the same blank guide from the same source, the source's guide feed is the problem. Contact the provider. Do not buy a second guide service until you know your provider does not supply one.

FAQ

Why do some channels have listings and others don't?

Usually an ID mismatch or the provider has no listings for those channels.

Does MIRA provide its own EPG?

Your guide comes from your source. MIRA displays what your source sends; it does not invent listings.

Should I send my provider login for help?

No. Never send your password. Describe the source type, device, and which channels are blank.
