M3U playlist not loading? Separate import problems from playback problems

Bring your own sources: MIRA Player provides no channels, movies or content. You connect sources you already have the right to use. MIRA does not ask for, and you should never send us, your provider password.

Step 1: Does the playlist import at all?

If no channels appear, it is an import/URL problem. If channels appear but will not play, skip to Step 4 — the playlist loaded.

Step 2: Check the URL itself

  • Paste the full URL exactly as provided, including any query string after ? — that part often carries your authorized access. Trimming it breaks the link.
  • Make sure you pasted a playlist URL, not your provider's portal/website address.
  • If you can open the link in a browser on the same network, a working playlist should download a text file starting with #EXTM3U. If you instead see a login page, an HTML web page, or an error, the player received that page instead of a playlist — get the correct playlist URL from your provider.

Step 3: Authorization and expiry

A 401/403 response, or a playlist that worked last month and now returns an error page, usually means the link expired, the password in the link changed, or the provider moved servers. Ask the provider for a fresh playlist URL. Do not use playlist links posted publicly by others and do not try to bypass an expired account.

Step 4: Channels load but will not play

That is no longer a playlist problem. Note whether every channel fails (likely source/network) or one channel fails (likely that stream or its format). A stream in a format your device cannot decode can show a black screen while others work — try another channel and another device before changing settings at random. Buffering on all channels points to connection or source load, not the M3U file.

Step 5: Huge playlists

Very large playlists take longer to import and update. Give the first import time, keep the app open, and prefer a wired/strong Wi-Fi connection for the first load.

FAQ

What is the difference between M3U and Xtream login?

M3U is one playlist URL. Xtream is a server address plus username and password entered separately.

Should I send my playlist URL for help?

No — it often contains your access details. Describe the error and what the browser test showed, without the full URL.

Can MIRA fix my provider's playlist?

No. If the URL returns an error page or expired login, only the provider can reissue it.
