M3U / IPTV player for iPhone and iPad

No iPhone app yet. The web player works in Safari today.

Short answer

There is no iPhone app yet. Use the web player in Safari today; a native iPhone app is in private testing, no date. Add your own M3U link or Xtream Codes login at miraplayer.tv/app, then watch in Safari on your iPhone or iPad. MIRA Player provides no channels or streams; you bring your own source.

What is available on iPhone and iPad today

Here is the plain version, so you do not waste a trip to the App Store:

  • Native iPhone and iPad app: not available. It is in private testing only. It is not on the App Store and we are not giving a date.
  • Web player in Safari: available now at miraplayer.tv/app. It works in Safari on iPhone and iPad. Nothing to install.
  • TV app: MIRA Player is on Google Play for Android TV and Google TV. There is no native Roku, Apple TV or Android phone app.
  • Desktop: Windows, Mac and Linux builds are early access.

If you have searched the App Store for an IPTV app and found several that take an M3U link, those are other developers' apps. This page does not review them. It covers what MIRA Player does on an iPhone today, which is the web player.

M3U link or Xtream login: which do you have?

IPTV providers hand you one of two things, and MIRA Player accepts both.

  • An M3U link. A single URL pointing to a playlist of channels. Nothing to log in to; the link is the source. Details are on the M3U player page.
  • An Xtream Codes login. A server URL, a username and a password. The provider's panel returns your channels and categories. Details are on the Xtream Codes player page.

Your provider's welcome email or account page usually shows which one you have. Some give both; pick either. Where you get either one is between you and your provider. MIRA Player does not sell, supply or recommend providers.

How to add your source and watch in Safari on iPhone

Source setup happens on the web, not in a store app. The same steps work on iPad.

  1. Get an account. Pick a plan on the get page ($20/year or $99 lifetime, 7-day refund on your first payment) and sign in.
  2. Open Safari and go to miraplayer.tv/app. Sign in with the same account.
  3. Open Sources. This is where every source is added: IPTV, debrid accounts and Stremio add-on URLs.
  4. For an M3U link, choose "M3U playlist". Paste the playlist URL (it should start with http:// or https://) into the Playlist URL field. Playlists on private or loopback addresses are refused.
  5. For an Xtream login, choose "IPTV (Xtream Codes)". Enter the Server URL, Username and Password exactly as your provider gave them. Copy and paste from the provider's email on iPhone to avoid typos in the server address.
  6. Test the connection and save. The Sources page can test a source before you rely on it. A passing test shows your provider accepted the login or link; it does not promise every channel will play.
  7. Watch. Return to the main player in the same Safari tab and open your live channels. Channels from your source appear there, with a guide where your provider supplies guide data.

Large playlists: if a playlist has more channels than the player imports, the Sources page tells you how many were imported out of the total. Check that note if a channel you expect is missing.

Use it in MIRA Player

Add your own M3U link or Xtream login once on the web, watch in Safari on iPhone or iPad, and on Google TV with the same account. $20/year or $99 lifetime; 7-day refund on your first payment.

Use it in MIRA Player

Bring your own sources. MIRA Player provides no content. There is no iPhone app yet; this is the web player.

What works and what does not, today

The web player runs inside Safari, so it inherits Safari's rules. Be realistic about these:

  • It is a browser, not an app. It will not behave exactly like a native app, and we are not claiming otherwise.
  • Codecs and streams. Safari plays only some formats. A stream that plays on a TV app may not play in a browser. Some provider streams will fail on iPhone for this reason, and that depends on your source.
  • Network. Mobile data, VPNs and some provider restrictions can block or slow a stream. If a link works at home on Wi-Fi but not on cellular, your provider may restrict access.
  • Background playback. Whether audio keeps going when you lock the phone or switch apps depends on Safari and your iOS version. We do not promise it.
  • Not offered: recording and catch-up TV.
  • Your source decides the library. What channels exist, how many connections you can use at once and whether there is guide data are all set by your provider.

If a source connects but a channel will not play, try the same channel on another device first. That tells you whether it is the iPhone, the browser or the source. The support page has the contact details if you need help.

Using it on Google TV with the same account

This is the setup MIRA Player is built around: connect once on the web, watch wherever you sign in.

  1. Add your source on the web (the steps above). Do this once.
  2. Install MIRA Player from Google Play on your Android TV or Google TV (Android 7+).
  3. Sign in with the same account. Your sources are there and you can open the live TV guide on the big screen.

So the phone web player and the TV app share one account and one set of sources. You can do the setup from your iPhone in Safari and then watch on the TV. See the IPTV player for Android TV page for the TV side and the devices page for every supported device.

FAQ

Is there an iPhone app?

No. There is no iPhone app yet. A native iPhone app is in private testing, with no release date, and it is not on the App Store. Today you use the web player at miraplayer.tv/app in Safari.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes, the same way: the web player works in Safari on iPad. There is no native iPad app yet either. Browser, codec, network and source limits apply, and playback depends on your source.

Does MIRA provide channels?

No. MIRA Player provides no channels, movies, shows or streams. You bring your own IPTV (an M3U link or Xtream Codes login), debrid account or Stremio add-on URL, and MIRA Player plays them.

Is it legal?

It depends on your sources. MIRA Player is a player and hosts nothing; you are responsible for making sure you are authorized to use whatever you connect. This is not legal advice.

Which should I use, M3U or Xtream?

Use whichever your provider gave you. An M3U source is one playlist URL; an Xtream Codes source is a server URL, username and password. If you have both, either works.

Can I use the same account on my TV?

Yes. Sources you add on the web are tied to your account. Install MIRA Player from Google Play on Android TV or Google TV (Android 7+), sign in with the same account and your sources are there.

What does it cost and can I get a refund?

$20 per year or $99 one-time (lifetime). Every plan has a 7-day refund on your first payment.

Checked 2026-10-22 against the MIRA Player feature matrix and product spec. MIRA Player: $20/year or $99 lifetime (one-time); 7-day refund on your first payment. Bring your own sources; MIRA Player provides no content.
